Hello All,

No Respect and Gujurati Muslim Association of America (GMAA) would like invite you to take part in our Second Annual basketball tournament. This will be open to all Indo-Pak, Asian and MEC basketball teams. Last year’s tournament was a success and we would like build on that. Please join us and help make this tournament a success. We are tentatively looking at the end of March for this tournament(March 26,27,28) The location of the tournament is still being determined . Please respond if you are interested as we can hold a spot for your team. Here are some details below:

REGISTRATION and PAYMENT DEADLINE: March 1st, 2010

Tournament Info:

- The early bird fee of $360 lasts until Feb 15th. After that the fee goes up to $400 and you have until March 1st to pay. Please submit your tournament fee VIA paypal to tvora2@hotmail.com.
- 12 Teams Maximum (Possibility of expanding to 16 teams)
- 10 Players Maximum Per Team
- NO AGE LIMIT (Indo-Pak, Asian, or MEC players ONLY)
- 1st and 2nd Place team trophies
- Individual 1st and 2nd place trophies.
- 1st team all-tournament team will be selected before finals.
- Tournament MVP Trophy


Tournament Format:

- There will be 3 divisions
- 4 Teams per division
- Each team will play teams in their own division.
- Each team is guaranteed 3 preliminary games.
- The top 2 teams from each division (according to record and point differential) will advance to the playoffs.
- Two wildcard teams will be selected from the rest (according to record and point differential)
- The playoffs will be a single elimination ELITE 8 BRACKET style format.


- In Preliminary Rounds, each game will have two 18 minute halves.
- In Preliminary Rounds if necessary, OT will be 3 minutes long.

- In Playoffs, each game will have two 20 minute halves.
- In Playoffs if necessary, OT will be 3 minutes long.
